For some degree programmes, pre-study work placements are required at the Start of studies.
In addition, applicants who did not obtain their university entrance qualification in Germany must submit an application in advance via uni-assist to Hochschule Hannover - University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Separate, earlier deadlines apply for this. Further information is available here.
Please refer to the admission regulations for detailed information.
Current changes:
For the Special Education (BAH) programme, the pre-study internship now lasts only 6 weeks and must be completed before the Start of Studies or by the start of the second semester at the latest.
For the non-dual degree programmes in Faculty II, namely Mechanical engineering (MAB), Computer Science in Mechanical Engineering (IIM), Process, Energy and Environmental Engineering (VEU) and Industrial Engineering (WIM), the pre-study internship has been reduced to 8 weeks. The pre-study internship must generally be verified by the start of lectures in the fourth semester. In the summer semester, the deadline is usually 1 March; in the winter semester, it is usually 20 September.
