Online applications and applications for admission

A Step into the Digital Future...

From the summer semester 2026 onwards, applications and selected administrative requests at Hochschule Hannover will be processed entirely online. This marks an important step towards making the university’s campusmanagement system more digital and sustainable.

Hochschule Hannover is consistently redesigning its administrative processes to be paperless, transparent and service-oriented. Applicants and students will benefit from a simpler application process, faster processing times and clear digital communication.

By switching to a paperless procedure, the university is also making an active contribution to environmental protection and the conservation of resources. The aim is to simplify administrative processes, reduce processing times and permanently decrease paper consumption – supporting a modern, sustainable and user-friendly university administration.

For Prospective Students and Applicants

The application process will in future be carried out exclusively online via Hochschule Hannover’s application portal.
All required documents must be submitted there digitally – postal submission is no longer necessary.

Once the application period has started, you can upload your documents in the portal and check the processing status at any time.
After the selection procedure has been completed, you will receive your admission or rejection notification directly via the portal.

For Students

Selected application procedures for students who are already enrolled will also be digitised from the summer semester 2026 onwards, starting on 2 March 2026.

The following applications must then be submitted exclusively online via Campus Management:

  • Leave of absence
  • Exmatriculation
  • Reduction or exemption from fees
  • Exemption from the Germany Semester Ticket
    • Application for exemption from long term tuition fees in accordance with Sections 13 and 14
    • Refund
  • Change of first name and or gender entry
  • Change of an academic degree or stage name
  • Change of personal data, new family name or surname
  • Change of personal data, nationality
  • Change of further personal data relating to date of birth

After logging in, you will find the relevant functions as usual under “Service” → “Applications”.

The corresponding certificates and decisions relating to your applications will be available in Campus Management under:

“Certificates/Decisions” → “General”
