Project description
The intention of the project is a feasibility study to determine the potential of the substitution of petro-based plastics by biobased plastics and composites in engine compartments. In order to identify new, technologically challenging fields for biobased plastics, it is necessary to close the existing gaps regarding the material properties. These gaps become visible especially in industrial sectors, where high-performance plastics have to be used. The feasibility study is focused on the determination of technical solutions for biobased high-performance plastics for the engine compartment of motor vehicles.
